Redesigning a highly used website feature: sign-up and subscription management for new and returning subscribers

Problem

One of Scotsman Guide's main products is it's digital/physical magazine. New subscribers had trouble signing up for subscriptions, while current subscribers had problems with managing their subscriptions. The forms had low usability, and bad visual design made it hard for the user to identify what they were doing.

Goal

Update the workflow for new subscriber signups as well as managing subscriptions. Improve forms and visual design of each step to improve usability throughout the workflow.

New improved flows

Designed two separate flows for new and returning subscribers, focusing on improved data entry.

Positive subscriber feedback

Enhanced the user's ability to understand which subscriptions they are signing up for or already have.

Increased new subscriber rate

Improved current subscriber retention
